A comfortable pair (shoes) are the most important equipment.

Saying you are a nurse and being a nurse are very two different things....(I couldn't agree more).
Your very first medication (in nursing) would be a dose of reality and your second would be a dose of humility.

There will be days you will cry on your way to work, there will be days you cry on your way home (I cried almost every day!)
All of those days will pass (erm, I also believe that!)

You will either love night shift or hate night shift, and somewhere along the line, you probably will change your mind, night shift will eat anything (haha, still okay for me)

Manage your time well, it will be the difference between walking with feels like 20miles and feels like 50 miles (True, prioritization and collation of work is very very very important)

Wash your hand (OMG, we do like CRAZY!)

Some events are milestones, like seeing the first baby born, or your first coat, or the death of the patient. (Last office, is the term saying that nurses offer our last care and respect to the deceased)

Nurses train residents (Haha, I am still "floating" in my career, but I do agree that experienced nurses do teach nurses as well as residents a lots of specialty related medical care).

Doctors can do what they do without you, you can't do what you do without each other (Couldn't agree more)

You will go from saving a life one minute to cleaning up an incontinence patient the next (Symbolic interactionism of a nurse)

Patient will teach you more than you teach them (True enough, Patient is the one who teaches US, more than the one holding bachelor, master or PhD, is the patients who provide learning opportunities to US, letting us to "practice" on them!)

Check, recheck and recheck (Okay, things will definitely happen when nurses violate this rule, or being not careful during the checking, my experiences tell)

You will learn to love sticking people and take pride in being able to set up an IV when others didn't make it possible.

They will be a patient, now and again who will remind you why you chose to be a nurse, embrace those moment. (Ya, patient's recovery will lead to our job satisfaction, we will be the 2nd most happy person followed by the family in seeing our patient recover).
